My passion is to see God glorified and his people grow more like Him everyday.  Abyssinian traces its beginning back to 1974 when it grew out of few members.

Today Abyssinian is one church in two locations, with One Faith, One Lord, One Baptism and one God-given vision.

Abyssinian at 528 33^rd Street is located in the City of Oakland which is a vibrant, mission-minded, Christ-centered congregation with a rapidly growing membership and a heart for the people of God.  Sunday morning worship is at 11:00 a.m.  Abyssinian at 733 Kentucky Street located in the City of Vallejo.  This location grew out of a bible study fellowship in 2008 and Sunday morning worship is at 8:00 a.m.

Collectively, Abyssinian is a predominantly African-American church, but Abyssinian seeks to serve all people regardless of race, creed or national origin.  We delight in the privilege of representing the Kingdom of God in our worship, fellowship and service and extend an open invitation to all who would be led of the Spirit to join us.  If you're looking for a church and haven't found one to call home, we invite you to visit Abyssinian, because If You Don’t Have A Church Home, Abyssinian Is the Place You Ought To Be!
